Depart pick up point around 8.30am as we head straight to Grants on Sherbrooke Reserve, where you will likely find Rosellas, Cockatoos and Parrots.

We shall be having our morning tea break, we then visit George Tindale Memorial Gardens where you can see a number of rare and native flora species. The soil at this park is acidic and rich in minerals, therefore many rare plants grow here without the need for fertilizer. The year-round cool temperatures in the Dandenong help the abundant growth of the plants at the garden. At the George Tindale Memorial Gardens, you’ll come across a vast array of magnolias, camellias, rhododendrons, azaleas, hydrangeas and fuchsias. A visit to such a lovely garden will delight nature lovers and garden enthusiasts.

We now head towards Olinda for our Lunch at Cuckoo Restaurant for the scrumptious smorgasbord meals at this fun-filled venue in the Dandenong Ranges. The restaurant boasts a unique Bavarian atmosphere; perfect for couples, groups and families to enjoy. Since 1958, the internationally-renowned Cuckoo Restaurant has been serving its patrons an array of delectable food varieties and offers a range of brilliant entertainment options. Come to this family-friendly venue to try new food varieties whilst enjoying an array of live entertainment.

Soon after our lunch we head to Olinda for a short walk and look around the shops, and perhaps purchase some fresh lollies for your family and the grand kids.

We then head to Dandenong Ranges. The area has a number of natural and scenic attractions, with the mountainous area boasting an intrinsic beauty, with a number of breathtaking gardens and a wide variety of European, Australian native trees and shrubs. We will also visit Mount Dandenong Observatory, which is nestled on the peak at 633 metres above sea-level, and is also the highest lookout in the region. You can also grab some snacks at the beautiful Sky High Restaurant whilst checking out the panoramic views of the region. Near the observatory, there is a café that offers a variety of coffees and tasty treats. The observatory also boasts several BBQ, picnic areas and an array of attractive formal gardens with various viewpoints, where you can see the most spectacular views of the region.

We leave the Area around 3.45 pm as we head back home. Hopefully everyone has had a great day out.
