Terms & Conditions
About these terms
These terms apply to bus hire with driver arranged by Harlan Transport (ABN 38 636 945 910). By accepting a quote you agree to them.
What we provide
We arrange group transport with a professional driver. We work with a network of contracted operators to supply the right vehicle for every job. Vehicles are supplied and operated by those contracted operators.
We do not offer self-drive vehicle rental. Every hire includes a driver.
Vehicle capacity
Seat counts include the driver. A vehicle described as a 21 seater carries 20 passengers in addition to the driver. Please confirm your passenger numbers when requesting a quote so we allocate a vehicle with enough seats.
Quotes
A quote is an estimate for the job as described to us. It is not a confirmed booking and does not guarantee vehicle availability until we confirm it in writing. If the details of the trip change — passenger numbers, locations, timings or duration — the quote may change. Quotes include GST.
Deposit and payment
- A 10% deposit is required to lock in your booking.
- Full payment is due 7 days before the trip.
- If the booking is made within 7 days of the trip, full payment is required upfront.
Cancellations and refunds
- The 10% deposit is refunded if you cancel at least 7 days before the trip.
- Once full payment is made, cancelling at least 48 hours before the trip gives a full refund.
- If you cancel within 48 hours of the trip, the full fare is forfeited.
Timings
There is no waiting time. We keep to the pick-up and departure times you give us, so please have your group ready at the agreed time and place.
On board
- Food and drink may not be consumed on any vehicle without our prior written approval. A cleaning fee may apply.
- Smoking and alcohol are not permitted on any vehicle. Unopened bottles bought during the day may be carried, provided nothing is opened on board.
- Damage to a vehicle may incur a fee.
Your responsibilities
- Give accurate passenger numbers, locations and timings when booking
- Have the group ready at the agreed pick-up time and place
- Make sure passengers behave safely and follow the driver’s reasonable directions
- Tell us in advance about accessibility requirements, luggage or equipment
Safety and the driver’s authority
The driver is responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle. The driver may refuse to carry a passenger, or end a journey, where they reasonably believe continuing would be unsafe or unlawful. Drivers operate within legally mandated driving-hour limits.
Delays and events outside our control
We are not responsible for delays caused by traffic, weather, road closures, breakdowns, or other events outside our reasonable control. Where a vehicle becomes unavailable we will make reasonable efforts to arrange a replacement.
Service area
