This is a must-go Senior day tour for Craft & Artwork lovers. Visit Vintage Bazaar and Buda Historic Home & Gardens.

Departing at 9.00 am, we head towards Gisborne for a morning tea break.

We then continue onto The Mill Castlemaine, where we’ll spend one hour exploring the Castlemaine Vintage Bazaar – A market of multiple stallholders with knick-knackery, bric-a-brac-ery, second-hand curios, retro accoutrement and a coupon of handmade finery.

We’ll then head for lunch at a local hotel before we visit Buda Historic Home & Gardens of which a member will show us around. Come to Buda and enjoy walking through the historic house where you will be transported to another era, in this Museums Australia accredited museum. Named after Budapest by its Hungarian owner, Ernest Leviny, it was home to the creative Leviny family for 118 years and housed their significant intact collection of furniture, artworks and personal belongings. The Buda Giftshop stocks unique giftware, homewares and jewellery featuring original Leviny designs and art cards and craftwork produced locally. Also, the Buda Plant Nursery stocks heritage and drought-hardy plants as well as a variety of fruit trees and native plants.

Finally, we’ll visit a local Bakery to purchase their famous pies to take home. We’ll be leaving Castlemaine around 3.00 pm.
