Day 1.

Depart Melbourne at 9.00 am, we head towards Gisborne with a quick visit to Mount Macedon as we make our way to the Mount Macedon Memorial Cross, a heritage-listed war memorial and overlooking Hanging Rock at Mount Macedon Summit for a short walk from the car park at the end of Cameron Drive and next to the tea house.

Soon after we head towards Kyneton, where we have a lunch break before we head towards Malmsbury.

We will then head to Shepherds Flat Lavender Farm with a stopover to purchase Lavender’s Products from Lavandula Swiss Italian Farm – 100 acres of gardens to explore, La Trattoria Eatery & Bar, Farm animals to visit, History tour of the Original Homestead built in the 1860s and browse a large range of handcrafted Aromatherapy products made on the farm.

We then continue travelling to Ballarat for our overnight Stay to our Motel to freshen up for dinner.

Day 2.

This morning soon after our cooked breakfast, we visit Lake Wendouree with a stroll in the Ballarat Botanical Gardens, which were established in the late 1800s. Many well-established trees with superb garden beds maintained by the Ballarat botanical gardens team. Superb statues to view and a row of past Australian Prime Ministers.

We shall be crossing The Avenue of Honour is the term given to a memorial avenue of trees and the Arch; with each tree symbolising a person killed in Great War – World War I (1914-1918) from where the Diggers came from in Ballarat & its District.

From there we head for lunch before we make our way back to Melbourne with a stopover at Bacchus Marsh.
