Take a trip around Port Phillip Bay. Enjoy views of Melbourne and Port Phillip Bay from the West Gate Bridge. The height above the water is 58 metres and the total length of the bridge is 2,582.6 metres. It is the third longest in Australia and is twice as long as Sydney’s Harbour Bridge.

We shall visit The State Rose Garden and Werribee South where you can see the latest yacht Club being built in the Port Phillip Bay

Then on to Geelong, Victoria’s largest regional city which is less than an hour from Melbourne and delivers you to a picturesque waterfront, parks, gardens and beaches.

We then head down the Bellarine Peninsula (Westside of Port Phillip Bay) to the lovely seaside village of Queenscliff which is bursting with reminders of its past. Walk through the streets to view imposing Victorian-era hotels dripping with intricate iron lacework, the huge military fortress, charming old churches – some enjoying new life as galleries – and quaint fishermen’s cottages. You will have time to get some time to have lunch (own expense) and explore Queenscliff before we catch the ferry across the narrow entrance to Port Phillip Bay, known as “The Rip” to Sorrento. The trip across the Bay at this point takes 40 minutes. Enjoy the comfortable passenger lounges for great views. Refreshments are available on board (own expense).

Another seaside village, Sorrento is one of the most popular and well-known holiday escapes on the Mornington Peninsula (Eastside of Port Phillip Bay). You will have time to get some free time to explore Sorrento before heading back to Melbourne. On the way we drive to the top of Arthur’s Seat. Its 314 metre summit gives spectacular views of the bay and Port Phillip Heads. On a clear day the view extends as far as the city skyline, the You Yang’s and Mount Macedon.
